System Status Information

From the System page, you can view system status information about the Makito X4 decoder, such as the operating system uptime, along with information about the hardware and software components.

The System page is available to Operator and Guest users as well as Administrators.

To view and configure system status information:

  1. Click Settings on the side menu, and select the System tab.
    The System page opens. 
  2. To change the device name, which is displayed in the browser tab, type a new name into the Device Name field and click Apply.
  3. The General system settings are read-only, with the exception of the Personality dropdown. For details about the available settings, see System Settings
  4. To change the decoder Personality, select either SDI or ST 2110 from the Personality dropdown menu.. 

    Changing the personality of the decoder requires a reboot to take effect. You can either click Reboot on the Reboot Needed pop-up, or click the Reboot button at the top of the page. For more information, see Rebooting the Encoder.
  5. To display a snapshot of system information, click Snapshot. See Taking a System Snapshot.  
  6. To initiate blinking of the Status and TX LEDs, click Locate. On the Device Locator dialog, adjust the time allowed to blink the decoder LEDs and click Start.

    Note

    The blinking can last from 1 minute to 1 hour; the default is 15 minutes.

  7. To reboot the decoder, click Reboot. See Rebooting the Decoder.
  8. Scroll down (when applicable) to configure User Preferences. For details, see User Preferences
