ONVIF
Some common ONVIF issues include:
I cannot find my ONVIF-capable device.
Check if WS-Discovery has been disabled. It is recommended to keep WS-Discovery enabled, as it allows network probing to locate ONVIF-capable devices. This feature is enabled by default with the ONVIF service.
The ONVIF device is discovered, but there is no video being encoded.
Set the video mode to “RTP/UDP” or to “RTP/RTSP/TCP,” as these modes are supported by ONVIF clients (e.g. XProtect).
Disable any firewall on the PC with the Milestone XProtect software. If the video playback does not start, there may be a firewall issue. If disabling the firewall works, your system administrator should edit the firewall rules accordingly.
