Makito FX Encoder FAQs
Getting Started
The Makito FX Unit (either HDMI or DisplayPort)
Rack Mount brackets (already attached to the MFX unit)
A 12VDC AC-DC Power Adaptor with the Conxall 3-pin Connector
The Makito FX uses the P-292-PS-I Power Supply Unit. The Makito X and X4 Encoders also use the same unit.
Streaming
If your encoder is not recognizing the proper input signal, it could be an issue with the cable, or with the source content. You should try:
Changing the HDMI cable. The quality of HDMI cables varies, and some are even unable to properly carry HDMI 2.0 signals. If you think this might be the case, switch to a better quality cable.
Enable HDCP. If you are transmitting HDCP-secured content, ensure that HDCP is enabled on your encoder. To enable HDCP go to Streaming > Video Encoders > Settings.
The Makito FX’s max stream throughput is 100Mbps for CBR and 120Mbps for VBR.
One of your networks may be disconnected. If you are changing the Network Interface on an existing stream, ensure that both Interfaces (eth 0 and eth 1) are connected to the internet.
Makito encoders provide frame decimation, not transcoding or full frame rate conversion. For example, if you have selected 30fps as your output when your source’s input frame rate is 59.94fps, the encoder will output precisely half that rate, which is 29.97fps instead of 30fps.
Each blade runs at 12 VDC Nominal, or 18W, and maximum voltage range is TBD – Range????
