Connect the Kraken

To power-up the Kraken:

  1. Plug the DC connector into the power connector at the rear of the unit.

  2. Plug the power cord into the AC adapter.

  3. Plug the cord into a grounded AC power source. (Refer to Caution under Physical Installation.)

Note

Power LED Indications

  • GREEN – Kraken Edge is On.

  • OFF (no light) – Kraken Edge is Off.

Power button Usage

  • Soft Shutdown – Depress Power button.

  • Hard Shutdown – Depress Power button and hold for 4 seconds.

To connect to the Kraken:

  1. To connect to the unit via the Web interface or SSH:

    1. Connect an RJ45 Ethernet cable (CAT5) cable to the LAN1 or LAN2 connector on the Kraken Edge rear panel.

    2. Connect the other end of the cable to the network.

  2. To directly connect to the Kraken Edge B console UI:

    1. Connect one of the display ports (HDMI or DP) to a monitor. Use an HDMI or DVI adapter, if required.

    2. Connect a mouse and keyboard to the USB ports.
