Obtaining PDF Documentation
You may find it useful to have a hardcopy or PDF of a procedure, section, or even an entire book.
To create a PDF, choose from the following procedures:
Creating a PDF of a Book
To create a PDF of a product document:
- In the sidebar, locate the top-level page of a product document (e.g., Quick Start Guide, User's Guide). For example, the Makito X1 Rugged Encoder User's Guide.
- Click the Download PDF of this Guide button on that page. For example:
- A dialog box appears allowing you to select:
- Your desired page size (Letter or A4), and
- Whether to export only the current page or the current page and its children (default).
- The dialog box updates to show you the progress of generating the PDF. After a few moments of processing, the PDF downloads in your browser.
- View and print the PDF using a PDF reader of your choice.
Creating a PDF of Individual Pages
To create a PDF of a couple pages from the InfoCenter:
- Browse to the parent page of the content you wish to PDF.
In the buttons under the page title, click the
icon.- A dialog box appears allowing you to select:
- Your desired page size (Letter or A4)
- Whether to export only the current page or the current page and its children.
- The dialog box updates to show you the progress of generating the PDF. After a few moments of processing, the PDF downloads in your browser.
- View and print the PDF using a PDF reader of your choice.
