Resetting haiadmin Password on Cloud Instances

On HMP cloud instances, since most functions are not applicable, the Console UI is disabled by default. Therefore, if you lose/forget the password for the haiadmin account, follow the below procedure to reset the password:

1. SSH into your cloud instance using the key pair you created:
   ssh -i <private-key.pem> hvroot@<public-ip-address>

2. Launch the Console UI using the following command:
   /opt/haivision/usr/bin/cui.py

3. The Console UI appears, and you may reset the haiadmin password via the Change haiadmin password option.

   

Note

Modifying any additional settings through the Console UI is not supported on cloud instances and should be avoided.

4. Log out of the Console UI and exit the SSH session.

5. The haiadmin user can now sign into the HMP web interface with the new password you specified.
