(HMG only) Due to the upgrade to the HMG/HSG operating system, the hash function used for pairing with HMP has changed from SHA-1 to SHA-512. Therefore, ensure the major versions of both your HMP and Gateways are the same. For instance, if your HMP is at version 4.0+, your Media Gateways must also be at version 4.0+Pairing the Gateways with Media Platform

Due to the upgrade to the HMG/HSG operating system, changed implementation for U.S. Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) Publication 140-2 and high-security (STIG) environments. (The STIG enable button was removed.) Please contact your Haivision Support representative to enable FIPS and STIG in your installation.

Security

Due to the upgrade to the HMG/HSG operating system, MongoDB 5.0+ requires CPU support for AVX and AVX2 instructions. Therefore, ensure your virtual machine's CPU supports those instructions. For example, the following is sample output after issuing the lscpu | grep avx command that confirms support:

  • Installing the Virtual Appliance
  • Known Issues and Solutions
Due to the upgrade to the HMG/HSG OS and OpenSSL 3, any PKCS#12-formatted certificates generated with an older OpenSSL version must be converted before they can be added to HMG/HSG 4.0+.
  • Importing and Activating a Certificate
  • Convert Unsupported Certificates to Use in HMG/HSG 4.0+
