Release Notes 4.5
Command 360 version 4.5
Haivision has released a new revision of software for Command 360 version 4.5 which is available as of February 25, 2026. This document contains a list of associated features, improvements, and bug fixes.
New features and improvements:
Deployments, Upgrades & Hardware Support
New Windows 11 ISO Deployment – New customers receiving 4.5 will have the base operating system be Windows 11. All existing Command 360 compatible systems can be upgraded to Windows 11.
Windows 10 4.4 to 4.5 Upgrader – Existing customers on 4.4 with Windows 10 who do not wish to upgrade to Windows 11 yet can upgrade to 4.5 without needing to upgrade the Windows operating system. Customers wishing to upgrade Windows 11 can do so, but configuration data will need to be reentered.
Updated Video Processing Graphics Driver – Support for newer GPUs in future models, stability and performance improvements on existing GPUs in Command 360 Alpha FX Video Processors. Additional updates to the rendering element of Command 360 to improve visual performance on the display.
Input Board Driver – Updated on Windows 11 systems
Add Appliance – Admins can add and initialize Alpha FX or CineAgent appliances to an existing system via the Utilities application.
Remove Appliance – Admins can remove appliances from an existing Command 360 system via the Utilities application. They do not need to be online, and no new security certificate is required.
VPX Ready – References to Alpha FX have been replaced with Video Processors, and the software is ready for upcoming editions of the Command 360 Video Processor line.
CineAgent4 – Support for new hardware revision; updated APU.
CineAgent16 – Support for new hardware revision; updated GPU.
Canvas Linking – Allows up to four configured Alpha FX canvases to be linked together to create a larger canvas and thus support larger displays. All GPUs supporting the canvases must be same make/model, configured resolution, frame rate and output configuration. All canvases must be in the same video processor. Linked canvases support live view.
New Live View – Live View no longer relies on encoding capable capture input boards. Reference live view stream is now using SRT for improved reliability and performance. Works with all Command 360 capable Output cards.
Rendering Optimizations – Numerous updates made to the rendering element of Command 360, improving image quality and frame rate on all models.
User Experience Enhancements
Dynamic Assets – Rotate content from up to four different assets without having to create a Behavior. A dynamic asset is created within an Activity and must be comprised of assets within the same Activity.
Dynamic Layouts – Group up to four standard layouts together and have them rotate on a fixed interval. When applied to a display, the layouts rotate automatically at the set interval without the need for a behavior.
Save Audio in a Layout – When saving a Layout, you have the option to save the current audio source, volume, and microphone settings. When the Layout is applied, audio settings are applied too. This feature will be the default for primary displays and can be turned on for standard displays as well.
Support Information – Within Admin > Settings, information can be added that is visible to customers using the system. This includes primary contact name, email, phone number, and additional info field. This information can be accessed via the Help icon.
Display Creation Enhancements – Display creation has moved from a standalone menu item to being done as part of the room. Now once a display is created, it is automatically linked to the room in which it was created.
Admin Optimizations
Active User Table – Available from within account management admin, this feature shows all currently active users along with their role, access group, sign in time, and session duration.
Asset Properties – Multiple menu items have been consolidated into one asset properties page. Everything from audio to device control, etc. is now on a single page.
CineLink & AD1 Discovery – The discovery process now runs on demand rather than continuously.
Fixed in this release:
Fixed CineAgent Restart Services issue.
Fixed Control Point username issue where permissions override can occur.
Fixed contrast issues in some menus.
Fixed QSYS audio communication feedback issue.
Disabled all instances of Telnet.
Resolved in some cases were Command360’s IDP locks, not allowing users to login.
Includes improvements to reduce output flickering observed in some configurations.
Command 360 SSO implementation now respects configuration attributes.
Security vulnerabilities mitigated with CVE citation:
CVE-2016-2183 (Sweet32) – Removed support for DES and Triple DES (3DES) cipher suites to mitigate known cryptographic weaknesses.
Known limitations:
Native video file assets are not supported on displays rendered on linked canvases; user will not be allowed to place them on the display. It may be unclear to the user why.
Annotations are not supported on displays rendered on linked canvases, and on such displays the annotations icon is not shown.
When upgrading from 4.4 to 4.5 with the web UI, the Admin user must remain logged in while the file upload and backup process are occurring. Recommend 120 admin user timeout to be set before updating.
When upgrading from 4.4 to 4.5 the user may need to upload files more than one time.
When upgrading from 4.4 to 4.5 there will not be a visible way to know the upgrade is done. Please wait 20 minutes per machine in the system after hitting “Finish upgrade?”.
Failed upgrade attempts from 4.4 to 4.5 may require manual file cleanup before attempting again.
Portrait Mode displays only supported with additional hardware and limited to 1080p resolutions.
Changing Identity Provider and Audience settings are not retained by the system, when changing from and back to a SSO provider URLs must be entered again. Please have them ready before making any changes.
Operating system upgrades do not retain configuration data. Upgrades from Windows 10 to Windows 11 will require configuration
Standard display live view streams reduced for quality of stream improvements and removed the possibility of overtaxing older systems receiving this update.
