Isolated LAN

The simplest network topology for Command 360 is an isolated AV LAN. In this design, a single NIC is used on each device to create an isolated (“air gapped”) system. The system has no direct connection to the enterprise network or the internet.

Advantages

  • Highly predictable performance

  • Simple IP addressing and traffic control

  • Strong security posture due to network isolation

  • Easy to configure and validate locally before deployment

Disadvantages

  • No UI access from enterprise workstations

  • No remote support

  • System updates require local access

  • Later addition of enterprise sources may require a system redesign

Limited Internet Access with CineAgent

If this solution seems appropriate but access to external websites is required, CineAgent 4 or CineAgent 16 appliances may be introduced. These dual-NIC devices allow website access while preserving isolation between the AV LAN and external (see Isolated LAN with CineAgent).
