What's New or Changed in 4.4
Version 4.4 adds the following new features and enhancements for Command 360:
Command 360 Installer
Designed to improve the speed and consistency of deploying Command 360. Once the Installer is completed, the machine becomes a Command 360 appliance ready to ship to a customer or be initialized into a 4.4 system. One installer function for all Command 360-compatible devices. |
System Initialize
Initialize is a new application that can be run after the Command 360 Installer. Initialize guides the user through discovering Command 360 appliances and make basic network changes. The application also creates a self-signed TLS certificate and sets up Video Processors and Video Content Servers in the most common configurations. |
Utilities
The Command 360 Utilities application allows admins to make changes to the environment with an interface to guide them through the process. |
Integrated Device Backup
The Command 360 Installer (described above) creates a permanent factory backup of each appliance in the system. |
Audio Updates
A new audio decoder has been introduced (Command 360 AD1) which allows users to select any CineLink-captured source to play back through a sound system. |
Dark Mode as Default
The user interface is now set to dark mode by default. Users can still switch between dark mode and light mode using the toggle next to the user account icon. |
Simplified Admin UI
The resource and site admin interfaces have been combined into a single section. |
Default User Profiles
Five user roles are created during the Initialize process: Standard, Advanced, Expert, Admin, and Owner. Additionally, two functional roles are created: API and Control Point |
TLS Certificate Workflow
From the Site Settings page, users can generate a certificate signing request (CSR), upload a TLS certificate, and upload a certificate for the signing authority. |
